A family affair
|
The Mack Belson Foundation held its first annual fundraising gala last Thursday at the Gelber Conference Centre. More than 425 people attended raising over $33,000 to help learning disabled children from families with limited resources. This makes a total of $116,000 raised in just nine months. The evening consisted of bingo with guest caller Andy Nulman, raffles and a silent auction. The Mack Belson Foundation was established by Gail Mendelman and David Belson in memory of their four-year-old son, Mackenzie Belson, who died last August in a drowning accident.
